BS8E - SUMMARY OF CHANGES AFTER THE RESURRECTION

1.The fearful disciples became powerful ambassadors for Jesus, and most of them died for their insistence that He had conquered death by His resurrection from the dead.

2. Those who had been skeptics became Christ’s followers. Two of the most important were the Lord’s own brother James and Saul of Tarsus. James went on to lead the church in Jerusalem. Saul became the Apostle Paul and traveled the known world talking about Jesus. Both of them died as martyrs.

3. A social earthquake was happening in Jewish society. Many were leaving their cherished beliefs because they were convinced that Jesus was the Messiah – the One they were waiting for.

4. A new society of believers had formed and it was growing by the day. It was a separate civil community based solely on their relationship with Jesus. They would eventually be called “the Church”.

5. Anyone after this time, can meet Jesus, know Him personally, live with Him daily, and be one with God.
